Description
Pixiu/Piyao is a Chinese mythical hybrid creature. Part dragon and part lion. It loves to eat water, gold, silver and jewels. According to Chinese lore, the Pixiu once visited the Jade Emperor and defecated all over the palace floor. Because of this, the Jade Emperor sealed the Pixiu's bottom to prevent this from happenning again in the future. Thus, the Pixiu became a creature that could eat unlimited amount of treasure without excreting it. The Pixiu became a symbol of attracting wealth and treasure and sustaining it.Pixiu/Piyao
